A tasty, easy-to-prepare treat with the robust flavour of Sabelli scamorzine.
Ingredients for

- 8 Sabelli scamorzine
- 2 pears, not too ripe
- 8 slices of thinly sliced bacon
- 2 slices of thinly sliced bacon

Method
Remove the ends from the pear and cut it into slices about a centimetre high. Sprinkle the slices with brown sugar and place them on an oven tray. Bake at 180°C in grill mode for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and proceed by placing a scamorzina on top of each slice of pear and wrapping everything with bacon. Finish cooking in the oven for about 5/7 minutes or until the scamorza has softened.

The term scamorza has an unclear origin, it seems to derive from the verb "scamozzare", which means "to remove a part".
